About the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls Liaison Unit
The Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) Liaison Unit was established in September of 2017. The Unit’s primary function is to support families and communities who are impacted by missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls, and survivors of gender-based violence, including 2SLGBTQQIA+ people.
