This is meant to be an interactive flow chart for people who are healing from the trauma of surviving gender-based violence (GBV) or the pain of losing a loved one to GBV. This tool is designed to help you process your feelings, practice self care and also develop positive coping strategies for dealing with your loss. Finally, the tool has been designed to be user friendly and to put you at ease, so let your decisions flow freely and do not worry too much about what direction you are headed in.
Please set aside some time — maybe 45 minutes to an hour — to allow yourself to work through each step of the activity. Take your time and do not feel rushed, just follow the steps. Self care is an important part of the healing process, so it is worthwhile to devote some time to it.
You may wish to go through this routine as soon as you wake up, to set a positive tone for the day.
